Cisco7609S目前的IOS版本由Version 12.2(33)SRC1升级到 Version 12.2(33)SRD2。
对应IOS image由c7600rsp72043-ipservices-mz.122-33.SRC1.bin更换到c7600rsp72043-ipservices-mz.122-33.SRD2.bin。
1、 升级前准备
在正式升级之前，完成C7609S配置的备份；完成C7609S上网络检查测试。
2、 升级7609
在升级前准备好后，将新的IOS文件导入到主引擎的sup-bootdisk和备引擎的slavesup-bootdisk上，接着修改配置的引导文件更改为新的IOS文件并保存配置，然后主备引擎切换，切换到备用引擎（此时通过新的IOS文件引导），再次主备引擎切换，最后使得另外块引擎也通过新的IOS文件引导。
3、 7609网络检查测试
升级好7609后，检查7609的运行情况；对7609进行到各设备的连通性测试；进行业务测试。
步骤1. 客户端（PC）上安装TFTP服务器软件，将要升级的IOS映象文件（c7600rsp72043-ipservices-mz.122-33.SRD2.bin）拷贝到相关的目录中（D:\），并运行TFTP服务器软件，设置客户端的IP地址为192.168.0.1。
步骤2. 通过Console登录到7609（当前主引擎在第5槽位上），将7609的GigabitEthernet5/1 IP地址设置为192.168.0.2；通过show version 查看当前启动的IOS文件（c7600rsp72043-ipservices-mz.122-33.SRC1.bin）；show redundancy确认主、备引引擎所在槽位，并确定工作状态是否正常；通过dir all查看sup-bootdisk和slavesup-bootdisk空间及当前存储的IOS文件版本（c7600rsp72043-ipservices-mz.122-33.SRC1.bin）。
步骤3. 备份show tech-support，检查7609功能的测试（show module 、show diagnostic result、show environment 、show proc cpu 、show mem summary 、show ip interface brief、show ip access-list、show ip ospf neighbor、show ip ospf interface、show ip route | include 0.0.0.0、show ip mroute、show ip pim rp）。
步骤4. 将原有IOS文件（c7600rsp72043-ipservices-mz.122-33.SRC1.bin）备份到客户端， 将IOS映象文件（c7600rsp72043-ipservices-mz.122-33.SRD2.bin）上传到7609-1主引擎sup-bootdisk和slavesup-bootdisk上。
步骤5. 检查image的正确性verify sup-bootdisk: c7600rsp72043-ipservices-mz.122-33.SRD2.bin，verify slavesup-bootdisk: c7600rsp72043-ipservices-mz.122-33.SRD2.bin。
步骤6. 配置引导文件boot system flash bootflash: c7600rsp72043-ipservices-mz.122-33.SRD2.bin（通过新的IOS文件引导）。
步骤7. 通过redundancy force-switchover进行引擎切换（切换后，6槽位引擎为主引擎），通过show redundancy查看各引擎启动的映像文件（5槽为备用引擎，映像文件为c7600rsp72043-ipservices-mz.122-33.SRD2.bin），再通过redundancy force-switchover进行引擎切换（切换后，5槽位引擎为主引擎），通过show redundancy查看各引擎启动的映像文件（此时5、6槽映像文件均为c7600rsp72043-ipservices-mz.122-33.SRD2.bin）。
步骤8. 核查7609功能的测试（show module 、show diagnostic result、show environment 、show proc cpu 、show mem summary 、show ip interface brief、show ip access-list、show ip ospf neighbor、show ip ospf interface、show ip route | include 0.0.0.0、show ip mroute、show ip pim rp）。
步骤9. 重启cisco7609路由器
